Now that the information is up, lets work on our roster. While I am looking for commitments, at this point some members may still have logistics, ie bikes they'd like to show, but are uninsured and can't be ridden to the show.
I would like to hear who have trucks/trailers and would be willing to transport a bike to and from. We are only allowed to haul bikes in between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday night, and they have to stay until 6:00 p.m on the Saturday.
What I think would help is if we had some members who could "stand guard" at the Mall parking lot while we collect up the bikes that have to be transported. Between "Transporters" and "Guards" we should be able to get our bikes together in one place outside the Mall, and then push them in during the one hour window they have permitted. This will permit members to help bring in bikes, without worrying about leaving their bike in the parking lot while they help collect up others.
For example, I would like to put my BMW R65 in the show, I have a trailer which only carries one bike at a time (and I am taking another bike on the trailer), and riding one, so I would like to haul one down on the trailer, leave it with trusted guards, go and get the next bike, leave it with trusted guards, and then go get my rider.
I plan to bring: 1981 GS650 Mono Shock Conversion and 1981 BMW R65 for our display, and flat tracker for flat track display.
I am working on Russell Parker to haul in a bike (or two?) from Steve Crout. Russell also has his beautiful sportster caf? racer which really should be shown off. Russell will need a hand if he is going to commit to this much work.
Riding in is easy. Let us know by responding whether you have a rider to bring and show, or a trailer queen needing courtiers, or if you can assist with being a guard or a transporter.
