February 14th hm.  What should I do.  I think maybe I will attend the movie night.  Such a difficult choice.  So far we have had 33 years of miracle bliss and Valentines day does not enter into it.

My wife is on call at the hospital, so the usual Valentine's exchanges won't happen.  In her absence, I am the step parent of our daughter.   Hmm... what is more romantic ... Daddy Duty or drinking beers with my motorcycle buddies?  Sorry guys, I think I will be baking brownies with my daughter.  I am sure the sacrifice will pay dividends ( wink wink, nudge nudge) ....such is the ebb and flow of relationships.

I am glad the Tuesday night interruption occurs in the winter.  If Valentines happened in May, this would be a much bigger polemic. Fuck brownies, "here's a bucket of KFC, I'm goin' ridin.  Make sure the dog's fed."

Actually drew not bad considering the circumstances... Steamers foreclosed on the top room for couples romantic dinners - which we didn't qualify for, so no movies.. But we had  eight over the course of the evening; some expert negotiators, and some lone wolves...

I obviously was not aware of the dedicated and long standing commitment to Biker Tuesday.
I will never again even suggest that a Tuesday evening be modified or cancelled to suit other trivial activities in our universe. I have been recently reminded: "Even if one biker was there on his own, that biker is more than capable of delivering a long enough monologue to ensure he has time to drink a few of his favourite beverages."
Truly apologetic

Somehow valentines didn't really matter much down here in the Desert. Went to the Club Trinidad wine and cheese then to the CT bar for a few celebratory wobbly pops and a sing along with Diva Denise Carter, no relation. The desert tends to put your mind in park after a while and things always look pretty good from here. Even the Highway patrol ride their Beemers in club packs of 3. Just another couple of weeks left and back to the snow
