Being a mill/boiler guy we move heavy stuff around all the time.What is needed is a boilermaker rigging crew armed with "portapowers" (small hydraulic jacks rated to 5-10-20 tonnes), lots of dunnage for blocking , a couple of portable diesel winches and a diesel welding set for welding some convenient lugs on(be sure to ground out or remove any sensitive electronic controls and make sure the windings are properly prepared for this).Would take some time but would move the gen set onto a trailer.Otherwise consult Pyramid Building 101, the Egyptians of a couple of thousand years ago would not see this as a problem.
