Thanks Steve for posting the pictures. The ones you show have rigid frames. Mine has the plunger suspension. Mine had been bastardized, but not beyond repair. It had a non-stock seat (understatement) and the rear fender and stays have been bobbed off. I have ordered a replacement Layette type seat already and am snooping around for a replacement fender and stays. There are other bits I will need eventually also like the handle bars, headlight nacelle with ammeter and key switch. The battery strap/box will likely need replacing also.
Fritz: I have seen the M21 on the Jockeyjournal, but there is another one that is even cooler. Check this out
http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45347For the purists, if I did a custom, I would completely fabricate my own frame. There is no way I would butcher any of the good parts on this ol' girl.
Still planning a "fire up the bikes" night. Probably in November. I am fabricating/modifying the exhaust mounts for the 883. If I get that done, that will be three virgins we can pop in one night: the M21, the drag bike, and the 883.
