Are you going to move that top bar up, so that it has a more manly stance? ???

What?! and cut up a 'My Little Pony's Colour-Me-Gone Nitro-Express /Hello-Kitty Sunbaked-Sailcat Dumpster-Demon/Barbie's Knocked-Up Maternity-Overdrive Special?  It just needs to be restored to it's original pink....

Those bars would also be great to hang your laundry on.

After 10-12 years...Leanne finally heard the Old 73' Iron Head come alive.....
Good Job there Rusty Bucket...Think she will sell the CB900C now...?
-Rusty had a plan to make the Float stick at first so he could pull it apart again before it started....
-Fired up on the First roll - over of the Starter

Rusty

I notice a puddle underneath Leanne's Sportster.  Is that a stock puddle  goes with the bike or is it an add on for it.  Maybe has something with the smoke DC generating system?

Yeah, all according to my established ritual;  I always think mechanical endeavours - of whatever stripe - go better after a couple of pints of gasoline are ritually poured on the ground first.    Then I like to stand in the middle of the puddle while I re-polarize the generator...

Harleys are dry sump engines. Over time oil bypasses the check ball in the oil pump, allowing oil into the engine. In the shop we used to get a call 3 or 4 times a year- my bike just barfed oil all over the floor! Excess has to go somewhere, so it exits the crankcase vent. Tea spoon looks like a cup on the floor. Evolution up Hawgs have improved pumps. Helps give the old girls character.

I actually had the opposite problem with Leanne's bike - the pressure pump would not prime.  I had to take the oil-pressure switch off and pump about a pint of ancient, aerated and unsteady oil  through the sparkplug-less engine before it would accept oil from the tank.  I'm glad I deleted the oil cooler from the bike - waiting for oil to return through another 6 or 7 feet of return line wouldn't have been helpful to the process.  The carb's needle and seat were perfect, the only ones I ever noticed that a minor 1 or 2" vacuum would hold the floats up, and yet still something cocked the needle and the bike hosed me down and deposited a large pool of raw fuel on the floor.  It worked thereafter...
Leanne was telling me about a defect in Evo or Twincam that, in the middle of a ride, can allow the crankcase to fill with oil and blow out every seam and the breather, all over the rider's legs etc, and yet, it can be fixed on the side of the road.  I am having touble imagining what that might be...heard of anything like that?
