Drag bike.

I want to build a low buck vintage drag bike.  All I really need is the engine and enough electrics for the spark.  I've been thinking about it for quite a while, but some of a the beertalk at the party got me re-inspired.

The Friday night drags sounded fun.  I used to love going to the CMDRA drags when they came to town.  There were frequently some guys on dirt bikes cracking off impressive times.

I figured a big aircooled 2 stroke single was the most power for the least screwing around.

Replying to my own posting just to let folks know I am still looking.  I am widening my horizons now.  Any big bore, air cooled, single cylinder two stroke.

While I'm at it. I want to find a frame (only for the neck stock) and front end of a small street bike with a front wheel and brake.  To keep it "Vintage" I'd like something from the early eighties or earlier.  If there is an old bike with wheels and frame (provided the rear takes the same chain as the big two stroke I'm after) I'd be interested in that too.

I really want to have a dragger ready for next season's Friday Night Drags.  I want to build my own frame so I have alot of work cut out for me and getting the doner bike soon is a priority.  Any help would be appreciated.

Have some CB 350 twin parts kicking around, problem is I'm in Smithers. Also know of a 400 yamaha 2-stroke single. I check the forum regularly so let me know here and I can find out more details. Thanks Bob
