Tires changed. Everyone has a slightly different technique. I can honestly say I've never used a rubber mallet, but it seemed popular.
Fork seals changed with about the same level of professionalism
The highlight for me was having my buddies around for starting up the xs1100 engine after many years. It started and ran ? for about 2 seconds when it had to be shut down because of oil spewing out the crankcase breather tube. Just threw some rags on it, finished our beers, and smiled. I'll deal with it later.
