Contrarian Panniers
« on: December 04, 2018, 11:47:46 AM »
2019 Club Ride will be on the Stolen Sportster again.  I have Harley brand name panniers that came with the pile of stolen parts.  They work and look great on my bike.  But I am a contrarian, and if I can do something different, I'm attracted to that.  Especially when the Adventure Touring guys spend a fortune on name brand aluminum panniers that never get dirty.

Old suitcases?

Old wooden box?

Plastic cat litter bins?  I'd have to keep the labels for sure.

I don't need this much stuff though.

Peace & Panniers, Dennis

By the book solutions usually give less than outstanding results - right?   On my last bicycle trip with two other people I laughed at my buddie's concoction of 2 fridge racks strapped to the side of the bike and a couple of $5 Value Village back-packs zip tied to them.

At the end of our 220 kms my $200 panniers were shredded by hitting the spokes and my friend's were in perfect shape.

Something about the last laugh came to mind...??.
Why be normal?
