bought another bike today...

So today I became the proud new owner of a previously stolen 2001 Buell M2 cyclone. Purchased for $800 from ICBC and looks to have very minor if any damage. Should get to my shop sometime this afternoon.

Its not vintage but considering that Harley axed Buell in 2009 and the cyclone was only made between '97-2002 makes it somewhat collectable I suppose. Ive always kinda liked Buell. They are such an oddity. They never caught on in the sportbike market because of their Harley sportster engine and the Harley market never fully accepted them because of their "ricer" looks. I think it will make a very sharp looking bike with little effort and I cant wait to start on it. Just not ready to tell the wife its mine yet... she wont even notice another bike around the yard until i start ridding it anyway.

That would be an awesome donor bike for a custom project. 

I see a good engine and front forks.  Well worth your money.

if anyone is looking for a write off let me know. Anything comes up eventually and they are rebuildable so if you want parts or a particular bike for way under book value they are a good way to go. the other ni e thing about write offs is that you know they were running and insured at the time of their accident.

got it fired up today. i think it sat in a shed for a few years before the cops found it. Going to go through the carb tonight. very happy to hear it roar to life.
