I asked the Salvation Army to confirm the date of the Toy Run for us and received the following answer.
"Hello there,
The 2018 Toy Run is Scheduled for September 30, 2018 at CN Centre. Thank you for contacting us, if you have further questions please contact Bill Glasgow at 250-596-0037 ext. 404 and he will be happy to answer any questions that you may have."
