Fathers day show & shine-June 18, 2017
« on: June 02, 2017, 05:10:25 PM »
Cruisin' Classics Father's Day Show and Shine will be held at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park.

All exhibitors need to get there early--before 8:00am.  Use the 20th entrance (south entrance) to Fort George Park.  Exhibitors pay an entrance fee (last year it was $10).  Classic vehicles are judged and winners in each category get a prize.  Swag bags for exhibitors too.

We are going to display our 1974 Honda CB125 for silent auction.

The Father's Day Show 'n Shine is one of my favourite events.  We seem to have struck it lucky in recent years with awesome weather.  This year was no different.

Thanks to Paul for his trailer, tables, banner and bringing the auction bike, and Guy for the groovy VW Van and shwagg.  The VW Van alone drew in lots of  looky loos.

The auction bike (CB125) had  many people saying, " I had one" or "I remember ... " etc.  If I got the story correct, the winning bidder did not own one (he's young and has never had a bike), but he is pretty sure its what his father owned.

Another high-light is that we won the "Best Stock" class.  Since we knew our auction would close before the awards were given, we promoted both the bike and the trophy to the highest bidder.  Since the new owner Scott has never ridden a bike, Hans and Scott took the award together.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

We've created a monster
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.
