May Day Parade / Motorcycle Awareness
« on: May 07, 2015, 04:57:38 PM »
Just throwing out some guilt trips here.

I spoke with Tina today.  I have the candy thing under control.  However, I am going to be the only motorcyclist in the parade with our Club shirt.

If you feel like spending Saturday morning walking in a parade handing out candy to kids, all while promoting motorcycle awareness, check the details on the agenda letter I distributed at the meeting on Tuesday.  The pertinent part:

"Sat, May 9th, rain or shine, meet in front of coliseum and pool, on Dominion st.
meet @ 8:30 sharp. with all floats in place by 10:15. we need time to put banners on, mix and bucket the candy, check bike straps, polishing etc... "

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Sorry I did not make it.  Had plans to go but go an upper respiratory infection that has kept me in bed for a few days with the usual drugs.  If I was there I would have worn the other club colours (British) any ways.  But I would have worn a Vintage hat though.  I heard the parade was quite a success.   Lot of candy handed out to the kiddies young and old.
