been a bit
« on: January 22, 2015, 09:31:12 PM »
hey guys sorry its been a while.  just thought I would update everyone on life in terrace.
I havent seen much of Peggy lately, her work schedule and mine just havent colided lately, but as far as I know her bike is running nicely.

I have completed my 6pack chopper (XS 650) hard tail and now have to get a new front tire and get it out of the shop to tune it in....It runs and revs so far and all lights work...nezumi boys will love this build.

BSA is waiting for new bore to 0.020 over, i have installed all proper fenders, painted all the bits needing painting, sorted electrical and polished the engine up a bit.its looking sharp.  just need the 500$ for the new piston and rings.

Matchless electrical is sorted, transmission is finally sorted ( I had a gear in it backwards, hence it not shifting proper.) new kill switch so im legit at the races this year, new back brake installed. waiting on new cam gears (ordered) as I cracked one last year at the races as well as needing new cam gear bushes.

I havent worked on the hondas..... and I have not had internet untill this week as we had some satelite issues out here.  I hope you all had a great holiday season and are banging away at your projects as much as I am.

I just wanted to let you all know Im not ignoringeveryone, just been busy with bikes and projects and not online.    Id post picture of all this but internet is too slow and my computer is on its last legs.  I will try to get on this weekend so would love to hear from you guys to hear what the latest projects are.  Any new flat trackers??

talk soon

Hey Q-Ball.  Ran into Peggy in PG at Xmas.  I have nothing on the go projectwise this winter, seems that working on bikes is on my Honey-don't list.  Was thinking of rebuilding my little 125 Yamaha, but I'll put that over to next winter as this one is to be filled with renos instead.  Hope all is well up Terrace way.

Take care.
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.

Hey Qball, great to hear! we have brought up "2015 rides" a couple of times at recent meetings and we would like to add your Rosswood summer bash to our wish list.
Can you supply a few details for us to share at the next meeting?
just pulled the engine down on tha A10, all looks good internally, will clean the sludge trap, add what's needed, re-lap head and such, wonder if it would make terrace??
Take Care!

It might need to stop in Smithers on the way through just in case it's too far all at once. Can't really think of any reason the bike can't go that far and return, the rider on the other hand. O heck he could make the trip too. Be good to see it in the flesh, even if I have to travel to Terrace myself.
Later, Bob

I will confirm some dates with the wife and get back to you guys. There is lots of room for everyone and have everything needed  to help keep the bikes relatively unburdened.
