New Book by Jack Elgos
« on: January 16, 2015, 05:55:06 PM »
Received this interesting email from Author Jack Elgos about his new book. I looked it up on line and it is available from the online book service, might even buy a copy myself. i guess it hits a little closer to home when you reach a certain age.

Hi Terry
My latest book's out and, It's the sort of read I think your members would enjoy.
Initially set in Northern England, Yorkshire - before the story continues on over Europe.
The Reunion tells the tale of a group of older ex-bikers.
By 2010 they've become a crew of bald, fat, grumpy old men - Men who may have just one last ride in them.
 Here's the tag-line
The No Name Motorcycle Club
They were a gang of young, strong, fit and fearless bikers? but that was over thirty years ago.
The Reunion ? 2010
Sometimes life throws you the odd bone. These guys caught one.
Would you consider adding this info to your club's website?
There's an image of the cover below. And, the book's out on Amazon now.
Thanks
Jack

I'll have to check this out.  I am one of those old fat ex biker types .... 'cept I'm still pretending to be a young fit biker dude.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Sounds a bit like a take-off on the Tim Allen movie "Wild Hogs" from a few years ago.

This sounds more like a book about "used to be's" while the wild hogs were more like "wannabees". Can I borrow it when you're done Dennis?? CHEERS.

Just to catch up on this, while I was away I read the book in question. Good read nothing like "Wild Hogs". Lots of fun, a bit of adventure with old rockers on bikes, you might even see some characters that you would recognize, I know I did. Brought back a lot of memories from my early days on the the old BSA Rocket.
