Last Tuesday was gorgeous and warm. Tonight was warm with impending rain. 9 showed up at the Dub and went for a ride. Fall equinox is apparent because it was getting dark by 7:00. Chose a route that was all boulevards with street lamps (Neil's Ariel is 6 volt with Lucas, and I'm half blind at the best of times). The street lights helped except where they weren't, which also happened to be where the road was recently paved (black) and no lines were painted yet. Between the rain which started as we pulled out, the oncoming headlights, and my 14 year old scratched glasses which I prefer to wear riding, I was virtually blinded on the road from the University to Highway 16 West. Sorry I slowed the group down to 40Km/hour in a 70Km zone.
Ended the ride at Cowboy Ranch. The server Wendy says she changed her shift so she would be working on Tuesdays, just to serve us. Probably not true, but since she knows us all by our first names and even what we're going to order, is good enough for an extra tip and continued patronage. Brock's done well making us feel welcomed there.
Peace & Grease, Dennis.
