15 and counting!

Yup, 3 more times out of a seemingly good airplane. First jump gave me my best arch and signal jump to date. Second time up and out was actually not very good technically--nuff' said. Number three I decided to trade speed for altitude and did 2 360 degree turns that spun me and my parachute on a 45 degree angle. Wicked! Also  netted my first pinpoint landing! Then a teeny little blonde 20 something on her first jump did the same same thing only cuter, though the very next jumper went into the trees. started helping out there now, short staffed with a big class they decided a relative beginner was better than no help at all. Helped calm a couple first timers that were scared to the point that they both wanted their picture with me, helped gear people up, helped the aforementioned tree lander out of his gear and rescued his 'chute. Went for water etc. Only have enough credit left for 1 more jump but Barry's KZ 550 needs a tire and cosmetics. They have a quad that needs brakes and one that won't start. I'm in. Great day! CHEERS.

Now 18 and counting. Went this morning to get out ahead of the first timers and got in 2. Finally did a paper pull which is like a dummy run and a perfect landing on the first one. Paper pull on the second and a good landing. Came home and played with the kids, had coffee with the in-laws, then walked the kids to the school by Jeff's house and played for awhile. Back out to the jump site and made my second sunset jump AND got my freefall license!! Did my own climb-out let go, pulled my own cord for the first time, brought myself in and landed, all solo. Went out at 4,500 feet a.g.l. and opened right away so I enjoyed the sunset from 4000 feet down Freakin' gorgeous!! Longest ride down yet-- Awesome day. CHEERS.

So, while you were all riding in the toy run I got number 19. Last jump of the season and since I have more toy runs than flights under my belt, I went skydiving. second time pulling myself, got all discombobulated and ended up opening laying flat on my back. Whipped me around like a rag doll! Picked my own 'chute to fit my frame but had a feeling it wasn't packed well. Slider was slow coming down due to twists in the lines and didn't want it to stick,  so didn't want to "clean" my 'chute and have it jam forcing me to do a cutaway and reseve deployment. With less than a full chute the ride down was fast, steering was crappy and the landing a bit rough. Back still hurts. Strong winds but not in my favour. Could not get over the target zone and landed on the runway. beautiful fall colors. Can't wait till' next year!!!! CHEERS.
