Matchless HELP!!!!

so matchless is ready to race...I think..... with only one problem.  no spark! Im running a lucas SR1 and thought in my naivety that I could monkey rig it.  Long story short, NOPE I CANT!  now we are at T-minus a couple weeks to racing and Im up the ol shit creek with no race bike so.....  if any of you have, can dig up or know of a substitute for my SR1 magneto, please let me know.  I am not online much right now so please call me at home 250-635-2210.   I am willing to pay if you have one but I need it like yesterday as I still need to work the kinks out of the bike.  Thanks guys!  see you soon.   I will post again in a second with my other newest dilemas

  Did you try changing out the points and condensor?? Just a thought. CHEERS.

No.... Points are like new, have ordered new condenser but coil is pooched.  No conectivity, took the outer wrapping off to find a green ball of corrosion.  I am getting 0.3volts from the mag, (pre coil).  I tried hooking up an external coil but did not work.  I had a brain wave this-morning that mayby i jerry rigged it backwards due to positive ground, so i will try to hook up the external coil again tonight.  Fingers crossed but i am not optimistic. I took next week off so i can franticly prep.  I am hoping if i can get my shit together to be in pg a day early.  Get to hang out and bs with every one.  Will keep you all posted!

Maybe PM or call Matchlessaj (Dave Blagdon)  He's been around the block a time or 2 with a Matchless.  Even knows how well they push.
