In my searching for custom bike stuff I have never seen anything like this...kind cool. I assume it costs a fortune but neat look. Not sure where I would hide all my wiring if I got one!

More pics...and french!

Actually, that seems really cool to me - especially the shot with the engine running (and the fuel on full boil)  The tank is small, though, and very deep on the tunnel;  probably too small without the added visual/technical interest of the Pyrex...

Have you seen these before Rusty? Not as cool as a clear tank but thought the idea was pretty neat. The one looks a little more steam punk that I think is needed but I know I have enough ratty tanks that I may try installing one.

The fuel guage is certainly visually interesting enough (and, speaking as someone who ends up pushing a bike at least once a season - undeniably practical as well) but the idea that it becomes another thing to buy instead of a thing that comes from your heart and hands puts me off a bit.  What is it really but a couple of fittings and a section of see-through fuel line...  something that could be cobbled together from the dregs of the average tool box.
I don't know much about steam punk - but I imagine any cache attached to the style would be quite undermined by reducing it to spendy iconography.  Being co-opted by those anxious to turn fashion into commerce is a constant danger for those on it's edge.  It would seem the best defence against this would be expessing a style that is self-defined - and hand-crafted.
