I used to have a XS400 with a hack on it.  Pulled well.  Generally had my newfoundland/wolf cross sitting in the sidecar.  then when I had a family i continues to use it untill my daughter was about 3.  2-3 years old I had a helmet and car seat mounted in the sidecar for her.  Dont think it is legal these days but we had fun back then.

I have wondered what the posted law is about kids in side cars. I could have them on the back of the bike but possibly not in the side car?

I believe it changed recently that kids need to be a specific age before you are allowed to have them on your bike.  I havent looked into it though

Off original topic but my daughter was 11 days old for her first ride, in a snuggly. She is now 23 and loves riding.

My oldest granddaughter is now 9. I believe her 3RD word was "bikey" Since the first time she saw my motorcycle she wanted to go for a ride.  At 3 her mother and my wife said yes! When I brought home her helmet and harness (which she doesn't need anymore) She was so excited I could barely get them on her. I still have the picture Allwynn took that day of me and my dolly on his chopper. My son started riding with me sitting on my lap at age 2. Did his first toy run at 3 hooking his legs on mine and hanging on to my forearms. Ontario I believe now has an age restriction on passengers. Unfortunately I have seen some real stupidity here in town that says why. CHEERS.

Passengers on a bike have to be able to sit and have their feet flat on the pegs, and have a DOT rated helmet that fits properly.  All it says for sidecars is that they need to be properly seated, so no standing I guess, and if there is a seatbelt, they would have to wear it.
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.
