hello all so i am going to be needing some experienced guys on this one i haven't started the build yet but I'm going to pick up both the bike and engine on tuesday in campbell river and vancouver the bike is a 1987 electraglide its kinda in pieces at the moment got a pretty good deal on it and I'm looking to put a fuel injected 06/07 cbr1000 engine in it,its going to be hell to do I'm thinking due to the throttle bodies i will have to use pod filters instead of an air box but even so they will still hit the tank so....im thinking of cutting holes so they will fit in it essentialy making the stock harley tank an air box of sorts and making a custom gas tank to mount the fuel pump into maybe put it where the harley oil tank would be since i won't be needing that ,
my biggest concern is the motor mounts as i don't have the skills for that(never welded) so I'm looking to you guys to point me in the direction of someone good that could fab that up i have money and I'm prepared to for some out for that part of the build in the end I'm hoping to have a full bagger rat bike with a serious punch(158HP compared to the stock v-twins measly 50hp) well anyways hope someone can help ill post pics when i get back wednsday!
