Rock and Roll
« on: October 18, 2013, 08:41:06 AM »
Kathie saw Hans walking down a hospital hallway yesterday and he implied he wasn't having a good day. This morning's paper shows a bent bike and a rider being helped to his feet after a gravel slide at the Y.
We certainly hope you are okay although we may have to have a Tech Night for your blue bike.
Let us know if you need any help.

I'm OK, road rashed knees and arse, bruised foot and hand, nothing too bad.  Cold tires and pavement and too much throttle, my own damn fault.  Would have been just sore if I had of been wearing my riding pants, but it was the "Hey, it's only a 3 minute ride from work" trap that I fell into.  Bike fared well, nothing a couple hundred bucks can't fix, I must have cushioned it's fall pretty good.  Mirror, Brake lever, inner fairing panel, scuffed fairing, and a beveled off frame slider.  Had the hard bags on too, so that helped keep the bike from grinding too much.

I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.

Glad to hear you are alright. My last day of insurance was the 11th. Same corner opposite direction, cold tires, cold road and the back tried to pass the front. Would be glad to say superior ability kept me up but really it was just poop house luck. CHEERS and pain killin' beers.

Glad to hear you huys are OK.  I was out riding today with my daughter and my ass end slid out further than I would have liked.  I almost ended in the ditch but kept it right side up.  I think it is just about time to call her a season.
Keep your knees in the breeze and the rubber side down.

Hope you heal up quick, Hans... it's not so easy when we get a little older.
Ask my ankle.
heh heh

Be safe out there, guys, it's shoulder season. The roads aren't being maintained as crews are gearing up for winter.
We'll be happy for the gravel once the black ice starts forming up.

ps: Brought my Enfield into the sunroom last week, with Q's help. Rode her up a fun, but short woodsy trail beside my house.
