all three bikes in the pic are the right model and mine, the bike that is missing is the last one in the row.
I have started a file with the RCMP but anything helps.
It had a windshield and black rectangular storage box on the back

Sorry to hear this Dave.  Just a reminder to all of us, it is a good idea to have lots of photos of each bike you own.  This is good for insurance claims or to help others identify a stolen bike.

Actually cruised some alleys in the 'hood this afternoon thinking if they pushed it close it would be. If given a chance tomorrow I'll cruise the heritage trail and around Peggy's parents place on my bicycle. This shakes me up a little because having never had a motorcycle stolen before I always thought my bikes were safe because of being unique and worthless as parts. No offense but I'm pretty sure the CM 400 is low on the stolen list....as are my GS and KZ 1000'S. Maybe I should start locking my bike..Sorry for your loss. Still looking and asking.

I had just put  a windshield and storage box on it. Looked bigger and nicer than it was. Just changed the oil, sprockes and chain thre days before. No theft insurance as I thoguht that noone would ever take it.

Actually My good friend lives on Krief pl, around the corner fromyou , had a customers scooter slolen an few days ago from his front yard .  I'm pretty sure The droves of hood rats milling about at Midnite has something to do with it. Almost every nite on my way home I have to ride past them . from the esse bend on ospka to the Otway intersection. ???  Sucks to hear they actually are stealing stuff. the Rossers are out also , but don't seem to do much,  ::)

Where did it disappear from?  In the hood or from your home?

Considering the age and probability that these punks still live at home I wonder if posting a notice in supermarkets and around the area where you live asking parents if their 'little angels' have acquired a new bike recently and if the parents aren't sure where it came from then they have an opportunity to return it.  You might want to use colour photos on your notice even if they are a little more expensive as most people don't see a Honda they see a burgundy motorcycle.

The fact the kids are out and about at all hours suggests maybe they BS the parents regularly but it's worth a try.

Why be normal?

I think it would be an excuse for a group ride to print some posters and, en masse cruise around the neighborhood putting them up.  I have a colour printer if someone want to make a poster.  Query: have persons with information call Crime Stoppers?

I talked with my friend who had his bike parked near and he said they tried to screw driver the ignition but they couldn't get his (bmw 1150). Sounds like it was some real criminals and not just a bunch of kids. Things at camp wrap up in two days then I was going to go put up some posters but I think it will probably be to little to late. Appreciate the support of this community. I bought that other cm 400 off Kijiji and it's running well. Sucks to lose 1000 bucks but in the long term things could have been much worse.

THEY FOUND MY BIKE! Some random called it in, it was being pushed by some dudes at night then was parked on Norwood. Cops just called me tonight to let me know they found it and that everything seems to be in working order. I assume the ignition is trashed, windshield gone, scratched to heck, cut up seat and the battery is gone but a small price to pay.
