Steamer, part deux
« on: July 21, 2013, 10:26:13 PM »
The bar is back open.  It's now a C&W bar with BBQ menu.  It's run by Brock.  Suggest we check it out after Tuesdays ride night.  Maybe still available for winter movie nights???

I dropped in on Sunday for a pint.  Smells lovely because of the meat smoker out back.  Cash only, no debit.  The pint was $4.95.  The items on the menu all seem reasonable to cheaply priced.  The waitress says that the no debit is due to them running on a fine margin, and the  % charged to use debit would have to be made up for in prices.

Went for dinner with the wife last night. Food was excellent, price was fair and Brock bought our drinks. Like that they didn't change it much. Looks like we have a new/old place to go. CHEERS.

Well that is good news.  I will look forward to visiting it.  Hopefully it will be available for us to use this winter for our movie nights

Well, we questioned Brock about using it and he was a bit non-committal.  He's a business first.  The basic jist was, if no one else is in the space when we get there, we can use it.  He isn't going to reserve it for us, and if someone else is in there, then the TV's stay as they are.

Yup
He was questioned twice about us reserving the room (the second time was by a latecomer in our group) but remained adamant that for business purposes, first-come first choice is the saloon rule.

So I guess we had better get there early and in sufficient numbers.
