« on: July 20, 2013, 09:00:43 PM »
Im heading down delivering a large boat to victoria leaving Terrace tomorrow morning and rolling thru PG mid to late afternoon.  Anyone needing anything brought south that will fit in the back of the pickup, call me at home tonight or on the cell tomorrow 250-635-2210 home or 250-615-7789.  or alternatively since I just bought a 1953 matchless and will be hauling it back on tuesday if you need anything back hauled.  that you think could fit gimme a shout.  glad to help out a fellow member.

Have a safe trip. I'll be working on the shipping logistics Monday, for my new toy!
Let you know if there's anything in PG to bring back... or were you going to stop in at honest Roy's while in PG?
I can give you his contact info and address if so.

Don't want to jinx my luck just yet, but I'm looking at 'adopting' (we don't take these things lightly here, without a garage they all come in the house/sunroom) a 1974 Enfield Bullet 350. She was completely rebuilt by the top Enfield guy in India 4 years ago, and will apparently do 90 (up to 110, which is enough for me) on the highway "all day long", starts up on the first or second kick fresh from spring maintenance, and is only being sold due to the knee replacement surgery (no electric start) of the fellow's wife who imported it , and whom it was built for.
... and she's a beaut!

Trying to get my shipping sorted out at the moment.
Any tips, please chime in.

I may have a line on getting her shipped with a load of Harleys from back east...  we can't always choose the company we keep!  ;) ;)
Will post photos once we meet in person.

Checked out Leno's video, and agree with everything he's said about the big singles. He knows a good thing when he rides it; certainly he's had the opportunity to indulge his hobbies and do just that.
Not the fastest, but a good, solid ride with lots of personality. As my street-racing days should be over by now (it's sure nice not to have all those speeding tix!), I'm okay with not being first off the line... though, in the case of bike vs car, I still will be.  ;D

... if I can just get it here.

well, im back.  the bike is ROUGH!!!!  Fingers crossed i can get it running.  will try and past pics soon.  Trip was paid for and bike cost me 800$ in the end so not too much out of pocket.  Another project ready to start:) n love the 500 singles.  1953 matchless with 1955 piston.  was slightly modded for scrambler with 1960s california plates and came with the BC paperwork.  Like I said, I will post pics soon
