hi - sorry to be vague but this was the third time I tried to transmit the posting through the Tim Horton WIFI connection.  Their bandwidth is less than adequate but it's almost free.

Maribel and I were sitting on our GS100 at a stop light on Water St in Halifax harbour when a big HD Police Dresser stopped in the middle of the intersection and about 20 seconds later a procession of the old R's came putt-putting by.  Not wanting to miss the chance to see a gaggle of them in one place we followed along and they went to the same harbour pier we were heading for.  They were all here courtesy of the Germans for the annual Halifax Tattoo.  Since they were not licensed for the road in Canada, they were allowed to tour the city in first gear only.

Had a good chat with the Canadian cops and they seemed to be stuck on the Harley's, describing the R's as 'toys'.

Guess you can't expect everyone to appreciate classy bikes!

Halifax was a great city to explore and we arrived the day after the rain stopped and left the afternoon it started again!

the photo is a view of what we saw most of during this trip.

Too bad about the weather but sounds like a great time!  Shame everyone doesnt recognize or apreciate the art and engineering of the old bikes
