I have worked out a tenative horse trade for this bike. Literally speaking its for an old horse trailer of mine. Just waiting for me to say yes or no. Looking for something my wife can learn on. Any thoughts on this bike? He says it runs awesome , no issues at all. 1984 Yamaha 185 exciter with 8000 km. Wife has never ridden street only dirtbikes as a kid. What ya think? Anyone owned one?

Honestly.... wayyyy too much money.  There was one in perfectly working order being passed around the club for $350.  Not sure who has it now.

If you take the bike test on anything under 250cc, you get a displacement limit placed on your licence.

Russ Parker aka rusty buckets is selling the same bike from $350. He bought it from me. My wife used it to learn on. Good bike for the money.

My daughter also learned on this bike. It is small, light and gutless. Being a 4 stroke single it is also hard to stall. It is also quick to outgrow. Here's the deal. Buy the bike for for the 350. insure (cheaply!) learn, do your skills test (no restriction) Then simply bring it back, get your 350 bucks and it goes to someone else. That is why it's so cheap. My guess would be 5 or six people have done this since it went to Rusty's shop. Last time I checked it was available. Actual value if it's in good shape would be 700 tops. Don't know what a horse trailer goes for? CHEERS.

The other part of the deal I think is that you pay the taxes on both ends of the deal.  Last I heard, it was out of Russ' shop, but I have emailled him about it.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking the price was inflated as there are a few more for sale around all under a grand. My trailer value right around what he was asking maybe a little more so I don't feel the value is there. No rush will see what else comes along. Appreciate the info on the local one people have been buy/sell as well. May pursue that possibility if available.

 Cheers,

According to Russ, the bike is no longer with in the club, nobody showed interest in the spring so it was shuffled on.
