The Fazer had an FZ sportbike 5 valve engine, lots of power and unique styling. Love these bikes, too bad they did not catch on. Styling then was a radical and a hefty price tag. If I had the money it would be in my yard--no room left in the shed.

never get a good brit in that shape for that price. Leaky slow motorcycles seem to cost more. CHEERS.

You ready to part with the one in the garage that I like so much? You know it wants to come home to my place

Interesting, that is the exact bike I'd like to get.  Just talked to the guy and he actually bought it here in PG last spring.....So his 'baby' has only been with him a short time....to me that is a bit amusing, there is no emotional attachment here with such a short time of ownership...

Way back in '88 I saw one of them in the fall with a sale price of $4000. on it and the maxim X for $3000. (Brand new in dealer's showroom)   They sold for $6000 & $4500 new respectively....I had just bought mine used with 8000km on it for $3000 that spring...oh well.....haha.

Interesting... must be the same one I saw for sale before... I guess this guys dad was rebuilding it, and had just finished it before he passed on... i think the selling price was 3,000 , so maybe the guy in terrace got it for 2,500 and is just trying to recoup the money.

Pretty sure the guy lived somewhere up by bellamy road

I had talked to him also...but you know what, it looked like that bike did not have the stock exhaust on it.  That seller who's dad died was asking $2200 obo until I told him I was wondering if it had stock exhaust on it for collector plate status.  This was something he had not thought of.  He then never got back to my emails after that, I am sure the price went up and he figured I would want to hold him to his first price.  This was in later summer so I think this may be a different bike.  I am kind of hoping it is because I'd prefer one that has not been rebuilt....you can not know how the job was done.  A good clue would be a compression test as these are tricky animals to work on (I did mine 2 winters ago).  So I told this guy make sure the compression is real good before thinking of selling it to me....
