Looking for a papered yamaha maxim 650 frame.

Hey.

We have a 81 yamaha maxim 650 that runs but we are having a hard time getting it into our name. If anyone knows where we can get a papered frame that would be awesome. thanks, otherwise we may be forced to part it out.

Ben.

Hi -  I've had good success wth unregistered bikes by trying a few things to prove prior registration in Canada and to show the bike isn't stolen.
- have the ICBC agent run the VIN and see if there are any issues outstanding
- if you can locate the province of registration you can search their records and usually pick up a prior reg
- if it was registered in BC but you don't have any other paperwork you can usually declare your failed attempts to locate the seller for a bill  of sale and show the clean printout from ICBC and the combo is often enough.

Best to talk to the ICBC boys and ask them what you might need to do given your particular circumstances [Feedback@icbc.com]

they usually don't want to go the extra mile for you but if you insist and complete all their requests it usually works.
