loosing my freaking mind with the A7
« on: August 12, 2012, 12:34:08 AM »
Well Im not sure if this in the correct thread but it has been a busy two weeks.  I have been working hard on the BSA A7 and am waiting on the last few bits to have it on the road (legaly) we had her out for a little rip but I digress.  Do any of you know what the plugs/bushings that the rear foot rests slide into are actually called for the a7 plunger?  I can find new rear  foot rests all over the net but do not know what these nut/adapter/bushing/spacer things are called so I can start tracking them down.  From what I can tell they are 1"3/8 od and the foot rest mount bolts thu them.  Maybe bulldog, do you know?

I also got the whizzer knock off going and am working on an 80cc engine in a 175 frame (just cause)

Its been a huge help havin my dad here to egg on my insanity.
talk to you all soon

Footrest rod, or distance tube, maybe? That's the names used in my Enfield replacement parts manual for a late 50's Brit-made bike... so, maybe try those?
I'd bet on the distance tube, if I hadn't already spent all my spare $ on parts!   ;D
Good luck, and thanks for the help with Honda last week.
Cheers,
Peg

negative on both unfortunately.  It is a top hat style nut that is hollow.  1 and 3/8' od i think.  the footrest then threads into it.  I just cant seem to find one anywhere.  It doesnt help its british otherwise i would just turn one on my buddies lathe from an oversized bolt.
