Jim Lundblom will be the ride captain heading south, those who would like to attend, but can not join the group, please give me a call at 250-640-0364 for the address of the cabin.
We should also meet next tuesday? at the A&W prior to our tuesday ride to tidy up details as to amounts of food, club checks to pick up items etc.  Kaziff

Here is the plan:

Saturday, June 23rd.

10:00 a.m. departure from the Casino Parking Lot

First planned stop will be the Tim Hortons at the south end of Quesnel.  We will wait there for stragglers and to re-group.

12:00 tentative departure from Tim Hortons

Re-Group at the Fas Gas at Sun Valley.  Once we have re-grouped we will be escorted into Likely.  All on pavement.

The first stop in Likely will be the Pub (what else).

After libations, we can mosey over to the Lundblom Cabin which is very close.

Free time/rides do whatever until the BBQ.  I have Fast One as a committed volunteer for cooking.  The BBQ will be sponsored by the Club.

On Sunday the plan is breakfast at the restaurant.  I have been encouraged by the owners to make reservations or at least give them the heads up.  I will do that.  We plan to have coffee available for early risers, and ask that they persevere until we can all go to breakfast together.   Breakfast is on your own dime.

The ride out should more or less be the same, but obviously if some members want to take off somewhere else no one is stopping them.  We are encouraging a group ride return for both the comfort of any stragglers and for commeraderie.

Friday, June 22 in the evening there will be a truck and trailer at Brian's at 1650 Elm Street (250) 561-1982.  We can load camping gear and whatever you don't want to tie to your bike.  I have carried some big loads on a bike, but never a lawn chair or a cooler.  It might be wise to label your gear; many lawn chairs and coolers look the same.

For booze and ice we are encouraging local shopping.  You can buy beer and stuff at the General Store in Likely.   Booze is on your own dime.

Fast One, Kaziff and I are on the food committee and will be making purchases on the Friday.  I have made arrangements to leave work early.   We are planning on purchasing for 30 people.  Steaks, salads potatoes etc. and all the paper plates and goofy plastic cutlery will be provided.  For the BBQ you only need to bring your appetite and favourite beverage.

If there were other plans that came up that were missed, please chime in here.

This will be a fun event.  While it is to memorialize Bob's 5th year since his passing, it is also about having fun.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

I cook a mean steak, so I can help out with that.  Neil is no longer able to join the ride, but his trailer is still available.  I will make sure it is at Brian's the Friday evening, likely about 7ish.
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.

Hans is going to meet at Bench Drive at 5:30 tonight to load my barbeque and spare propane bottle so will not be at Brian's with the trailer until roughly 6PM
Please wait until after 6 to drop your items off if you can, otherwise Brian will try to put your stuff along side the house.
The address for drop off is 1650 Elm st (third or fourth house on the right after turning left from 17th ave.
see you all in the morning. kaziff

It looks like I will not be doing this ride after all.  I have some chores that I've put off too long already.
Still planning on O'Keefe!
Apologies,
Theo

We went. We got wet. We drank a lot of alcohol and ate a lot of food.  We had a slumber party in the shop. Fun dry trip home. Did you all know Stephen's bike is an enduro? Wouldn't want to have missed it. Thanks to all who came--you helped make this an awesome inaugural event. Special thanks to the Lundblom family for being such gracious hosts. Following Jim on Bob's Indian was a real treat. Yes Virginia there will be a next year! Cheers.

Hey Hans I forgot to grab my tent- blue bag (didn't use it, that's my excuse) and grabbed one wrong chair (presumably Paul's).  Will call you tomorrow to pick up.

Anything unclaimed tomorrow is going to the Sally Anne.  Agreed it was a great trip. Wil likes being club mascot.

As a token gesture of thanks to the lundbloms, the club is sending jim an XL club hoodie with "Indian Bob" inscription.
I will make sure it gets to Jim who says it will go to the cabin to be enjoyed by the whole family. Kaziff

Great idea! Too bad I didn't think of it. If nobody claims the green chair we stole it and should return it along with the hoodie. Cheers.
