I don't care what you say about a politition who thinks they need to contribute to the erosion of my rights.
 I see Dennis' thread got locked down which is a shame - I read it, and I would like to thank Dennis for offering his services to fight the helmet laws.
 In Terry's defence, the job of gatekeeper to the internet can't be easy sometimes. We, as posters here should keep in mind that not all who read the 'drivel' we post are members of our club, or even of the age of majority...

 Edit: After reading Terry's post in 'Locked Threads', I have to disagree about the the part of steering away from poilitical postings, as long as it pertains to our sport.

Evidently, someone does care ? thus the complaint.  I see no good in using foul and abrasive language on our forum and, in fact, it reflects badly on our club and the motorcycling community.  I agree that we should ?steer away from political type posts?; I support Terry?s decision to remove the offending post, but not to lock down the topic.  The mere fact that the originator of the topic addressed his letter to a political figure doesn?t make it political.  He was simply making arguments against a governmental action to the politician in question, in a realistic, non-offensive, non-partisan way and others should be allowed to follow the topic with their appropriate (non-political, non-offensive) comments.
That?s what I think.

Well said Ted.  I agree that the thread need not be locked.  Healthy debate over any topic is a good thing, but shouldn't devolve to personal attack.  Doing that just puts you on the level of the politicians.

First of all good morning to all PGVMCC members and form readers. Terry i would like to thank you for look after the PGVMCC and members best interest. Ted and Hans well said. One thing to remember we have a great bunch of guys and gals from officers to membership that makes the PGVMCC special.

I left the original post alone, but now that further comments have been made I will add mine.  Shirley Bond is someone I have known for years and would consider a friend.  No politician is perfect and she may have made errors that tick people off.  I would prefer to hear the details of what makes Fast1 hate her rather than see her called a B.  I have no problems with people having oppinions, but it is best to keep things civil.
Fast1 do let me know when that charity event is happening you wanted to borrow the Tire Terminator for and if you still want to use it, you are welcome to do this.  (I did update that post with a simular request, but give it again here..

Well, as the original poster I guess I should chime in.  In my enthusiasm of writing to Ms. Bond, it was an easy cut and paste to share it with my buddies.  I did not think I was being political but that is because was not thinking; not that it was not political.  I probably should have steered away.

Regarding our moderator Terry, I say "thank you."  Its kind of a thankless job, like being a volunteer referee at a beer league hockey game.  When you call the penalties, someone is not going to be happy, but no one wants to play without a ref.

  Sorry if I offended anyone. Many of my dislikes for the Bond girl are based on her role in taking all the fun out of driving/riding. She has been instrumental in passing many of the Gestapo laws we now have. Too much is left to the discretion of Police officers.  For the record I consider them a neccesary evil--don't like them either. I could expound for hours on why but I'll spare you. The Allwynn ride was cancelled for this year but may borrow the tire burner next year. Haven't measured the chopper yet but I think it will fit---just not insured yet. Thanks.
