Gotta job today
« on: April 24, 2012, 10:27:26 PM »
Delivering bundles to carriers for the free press, 2 nights a week. Hard to get a 9-5 with so many kids. Had to find something though- thought I would enjoy being somewhat unemployed but it is driving me crazy! Also worked on a Quad for a referral yesterday. First time in 2 years! Minor repairs and service by appointment. Give it a try anyway. My cell is 612-5670.

I hope you are still going to do some freelance MC work.  I have a bank of carbs I need going through.  I want my GS650 shafty for the Show n' Shine in June which is leaving me a month and a half.  I am reluctantly going to have to farm out work.  My current plan is:

Wayne (Fast One ): Carbs and Starter if you want the job ( I have the parts) , Maybe even the fork seals since I have those also.

Jeff : Pull bearing races on frame, sheet metal work on inside of gas tank

Blair (new member) : pull some dents in the gas tank after sheet metal work (see reference to Jeff above)

Mike (old member, upholstery guy: seat needs foam and vinyl

I love doing my own paint, but if I want to meet my time constraints, I may need SuperDave/Stuntman Fubar for the tank and seat bubble.

I am going to rattle can the frame if I have to.  I would prefer to do it proper, but again, I want this bike for the Show n. Shine and I want to ride it this summer.

Peace and deadlines, Dennis

To Fast One and Stuntman: are you available on Sunday at noon?

I will try to get Blair over also.  He does body work and has seen the dents and want to try his fancy smancy stud puller on them.  The dents are actually smaller than ones I've filled with Bondo before.
