Just about to re-fire the Sportster (after a year) to check I haven't done it any serious damage in the interim, and starting to think about reassembling the '71 bobber 650 - now that, with Stuntman Dave having striped the rims,  the last impediment to progress on that bike has been overcome.
Anyone else need to visit Roy's before the snow comes?  (somehow, I always end up there - standing in a field of accumulating snow during the first real snowfall of the year)

Not a lot going on.  Getting the 86 Virago back together and running and working on the Goldwing.  Heading to Haida Gwaii on Monday and will be back around the 15th.  Hope to get some nice weather for riding when I get back  but really not expecting any changes in the weather that we have had all summer.  Next summer will be great for riding right?

2 outta 4 work, I'm happy with that.
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.

Just go to Chris at Yamaha, order a motion pro cable by the part # then add +6 or ?. They will make it for ya cheaper and better than Harley. Just be precise in measuring. Thurs. nite I drove to Fort Ware, slept 3 hrs. in the truck which has developed this new habit of dying for no reason. Usually in a bad place. Starts right bacj up though? Unloaded ,showered, ate, visited and was on my way back at8 p.m. Lost hi-beams just after dark. Drove all nite on lo. Rock took out the bleeder on my main air tank for the back brakes coming down the hill at 174 about 3 a.m.  Normally these shear off so pounding an apropiate sized willow in the hole and pounding the shit out of it does the trick. This one just mangled. Shut the truck off to let all the air bleed out and removed the fitting. What to do? Stick in from the top didn't go well. nothing to beat against. pushed the little piece I got in to the bottom of the hole with me leatherman. Then balling up little pieces of duct tape (sticky side out) I stuffed and tamped till it was full, put one more flat across the top and screwed it back in. worked so well keeping it in the spares bin. ARRIVED AT THE SHOP ABOUT 10 A.M. JUMPED ON MY BIKE, RODE OUT TO BEAVERLY AND JUMPED OUT OF A PLANE FOR THE FOURTH TIME.Oh yea, finally got the stator for Zara on Fri......
