Lets shoot for 1:00 p.m. at the Bon Voyage.

On the related thread, Olaff was trying to narrow down these details.  Should we do 1:00 p.m.?

I had intended to do this ride, but unforeseen circumstances preclude my participation.
Y'all have a good time.

From our meeting last night my list of attendees are:

Me, Lauri and Candace
Guy and Lorraine
Parker, Twiilla and Parker's brother
Clayton
Donovan
Olaff
Ian and his wife
Jeff

I think there are some others but I can't recall

If you are not on the list and you are going, please chime in so that Q-Ball knows what's coming.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Have a pile of fun you guys!
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.

Looking forward to whoever stops here Friday, already warned the neighbours. I am looking forward to riding the road north of Q-balls on Sunday, not sure what anyone else has planned but that is one ride I do want to make. For those staying in Smithers Friday what time are you planning on heading out Saturday?

So I guess the time is upon us!  i am excited, i took most of this week off and have been a busy beaver.  I built a new out house, ordered a keg of our local terrace beer (sherwood mountain brewery)  big to be slaughtered on friday I pick up the roaster tomorrow (I SURE HOPE ANY WAYS!)   Friends neighbours and club are all jazzed to come.  I think I will build a giant awning tomorrow, just in case of rain.  I am looking forward to having everyone here and am sure it will be a good time.  Weather is supposed to start improving tomorrow in time for the weekend.  So bring your appetites and be ready for a good time!  If anyone wants hard liquor or any thing special, please hit the liquor store on your way through town, other wise it will be beer from the brewery and whatever home brew I dig out of the cellar.   See you all soon

Keep those knees in the breeze and ride safe.

Im gonna try and see if I can google earth directions

Google Earth streams the world over wired and wireless networks enabling users to virtually go anywhere on the planet and see places in photographic detail.  This is not like any map you have ever seen.  This is a 3D model of the real world, based on real satellite images combined with maps, guides to restaurants, hotels, entertainment, businesses and more.  You can zoom from space to street level instantly and then pan or jump from place to place, city to city, even country to country.

Get Google Earth.  Put the world in perspective.

I think if you cut and paste the above link into google earth it works

So in case the google earth doesn't work....
adress is 215 egan road.  Terrace.  If you google earth it it will only show the road.  You turn off Kalum Lake drive (also known as Nisgaa highway) at 42km from town onto egan rd.  there is a small gravel pit on the corner.  follow egan for approx 1.5km.  Geir road will be on the right, stay on egan road and my driveway is the first on on the left past geir road.  Cell phones do not work out here, we do have wifi (on satellite so please no surfing porn :) but it is available if anyone needs it while at the house and for those needing to text if you have i phones.  My home number is 250-635-2210 if anyone has any problems along the way my home number is best to call.  Please let me know if you need more info.

While I have been looking forward to going on this ride with you all I am now unable to attend so have a safe journey and enjoy each others company. Looking forward to getting out on some Tuesday nights in August as I have been busy with work for past few weeks with the fire situation mostly south of us. Cheers. rob

Good time Friday in preparation for Qballs bash, great ride out Saturday and what a feast it was. Weatherman pulled one over on us though so no ride north on Sunday, did get to see and hear the mighty Matchless run however. To bad Fast1 the carb wizard wasn't there to work his magic on that nice new Amal though. Ride home was damp and uneventful, light traffic today so that was good. Tomorrow will likely be the busy day on the roads, ride safely home Prince George crew. Was wonderful to have had you over Friday and put some miles on together.

Thanks all for the great time every one!  Parker, Jaime and I decided to brave the roads north late sunday and just turn around when it got too wet.  we ended up in Gingolix.  End of the road.  What a ride!  I think it was one of the best bike roads in the province!  we almost ran out of gas and managed some pretty awesome break neck speeds.  Decreasing radius blind corners, bears on road, and nice people in the village.  Parker is trying again today I think but I had to go to work.  Matchless still isn't running right, but will putter with it when I get time.  At least I think we figured out the cam timing!  now it is ignition timing and carb.  It was so good seeing all of you and I look forward to seeing pics posted!  Weather is still rainy here, hope your ride home was good.

I had a great trip.  The Smithers XS650 ran flawlessly all the way to Q-Balls, but the pouring rain on Sunday made the decision to trailer it home a no-brainer.

I learned that the Smithers XS650 has a range of about 145 km, or just 3 minutes shy of the next town.

Bob's place in Smithers was easy to find.

Bob and Cynthia were great hosts.  Nice fire pit and  beer store a block away.

It was pretty sunny when we arrived at Q-Balls.

In addition to the Club, Q-Ball had some friends and neighbours over.  One drove this...

Of course we had to check out Q-Balls stash.

Peggy-Sue rode out on her Enfield.  Great to see her.

It wouldn't be a biker bash without a pig roast.  Before ...

... and after.

Q-Ball is obviously influenced by the Mother Earth News.  He's got this cool cobb oven which pies were made in for desert.

Thanks again to our hosts.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their contributions financially, time and atmosphere!  what a great time.  the weather finally broke yesterday and sun is back out.  I will b heading out riding tonight!  It is always a pleasure hanging with all of you.  Now that I have a reliable long distance runner, I should be able to make some other functions out your way.  I know there were lots of pics taken so keep them coming guys!  Thanks Again!
