Motorcycle Salvage Yard in PG?
« on: August 14, 2014, 01:39:15 PM »
Hi there..

Just in PG for the next week..

I heard there is a salvage yard here in PG with a decent selection of bike parts.. Is it still around ???

I am a BSA guy but I'm always looking for anything unique.

Thanks!

There is "Honest Roy" who has a yard/field of old Jap bikes.  He hasn't been adding to his stash recently, and everthing has been exposed to the weather.  Most the good stuff has long been taken.  However, there still is stuff there worth a look at.  I haven't had his phone number in a long while.

There is also KK motors which does a lot of online used parts selling.  Kim Krebbs, the owner, is a great guy.  However, he is in the business and just being a looky-lou is ... subtly discouraged.  If you knew what you wanted he would let you know if he had it.

Both days this weekend are accounted for in my schedule, but otherwise I'd love to take you up to Honest Roy's.

Query: where're you from?

For a laugh, there is the salvage yard at Canim Lake.  Here is a link to some pictures and discussion about it.

If you have time for meeting some members,  I will be in my shop on Saturday night working on my flattracker and other bikes.  You'd be welcomed to drop by and raid my beer fridge.

Peace & Grease, Dennis
