Free honda.
« on: July 18, 2013, 09:09:50 AM »
now that I have every ones attention.  I met a fellow at the Terrace Canadian tire just before the Vernon trip who asked if I wanted a free bike:)  as always my answer was yes!  It is a honda mini in rough shape located in Quesnel.  I really dont have time, energy or ability to go get it.  So If anyone from the club wants it, call me at home this weekend and I will put you in touch with the guy.  One catch, if he has any other cool pickings I want to know :D  the fellow was super nice and just wanted to see it go to a good home.  I am sure we can accomodate him.

I was all set to give away my 82 wing, but last week I sold my modern bike, and now I'm riding the old one . Oh I'll have to re-join the club sometime, I've decided I need to own a 1970-73 beemer so if somebody knows of an r-60 or75/5 for a decent price , let me know .

Quinton, you checking out that Honda while you're on your way thru Quesnel?... or would you like me to? I'll be here until Wednesday, then again in a week or so.

Chris.  I have a 1982 R65LS.  I had it insured for three months this season.  Rode it to Vernon and Mackenzie.  Its a little rough, but what is really pissing me off is that it has developed a bad leak between the engine and transmission (as best as I can tell).  The front brakes squeak but I have new pads for the front and shoes for the back.  The tachometer does not work, but I never even looked at fixing it.  The front brake switch does not work, but I have a new one of those also.  I actually have a box of extra parts.

Its just over 40,000 km.

I wanted to build a mono-shock caf? racer out of it similar to my GS650, but my garage is getting too crowded with "project" bikes.  I am will to let it go, as is, for $1900.  I do not have this advertised anywhere, and am just feeling around for a good home.

Peace & Grease, Dennis
