Spyder ride

Finally tried one out. French people are kinda' anal. Fill out the form on some kinda e-pad. Then a 5 minute video. Then a test through the cones you must pass to do the ride. Another 5 minute lecture re-iterating the fact that this is NOT a motorcycle. Their right. I took the rs as it is the only one that does not have electric shift and auto clutch. Corners like a quad or Sea-doo, even the chopper could whup it in the twisties. Nice motor, smooth with lots of torque, comfy seat and riding position. If they made a 2 wheeled version it might be likable. Absence of a front brake lever was weird. Overall would have to say I prefer Mike's Miata. Riders were not surprisingly mostly of the geriatric age. They are going till about 5:30 at C.N. centre if anyone else wants to try one. CHEERS.

Thanks for the report. That is exactly what I expected of those machines. I guess if it will keep me in the wind when I'm too old or frail to hold up a bike...

yeap.. the good ol spyder ride. While I had fun... im not sure i would EVER buy one. Although, never say never always.

The little parking lot test was narrow as heck !!! holy cow... brock hit a cone and had to retake it, and didn't even know he ran over the edge of the cone..

All in all, was fun .. and hey .. a chance to try one out for free.. cant beat that. Next up..  victory demo days at cycle north !

Aha! Thought I saw your bike when we were coming in then it magically disappeared? Would that have been Brock Gable that hit the cone? For the record I went first through the cones in our group and aced it. Which one did you ride? CHEERS.

yeah i was suppose to ride be at the 12 class, but between work, and going to wrong place I was late, and the class had started, so i chose to come back for the 2:15 one.

Dave showed up..then Brock (yes Gable)

We did the video, listened to the speech, then he was first up.. i was second, dave was last. I aced it as well, i got through the first narrow part and he turned around and started writing.

I cant remember Daves last name.... Tyler knows him better than me, but we still talk, as we have mutual friends.

The one I rode was the black version with manual clutch and a shifter. Actually got a bit of a slide coming off Otway onto Foothills. Have to give Brock a hard time next we meet. CHEERS.
