swap meet
« on: January 24, 2012, 10:49:03 PM »
As per the discussion of the Mid-Ohio swap meet at our tech meeting tonight I found the dates of the 2012 meet.

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is pleased to announce the 2012 dates for the country?s premier annual celebration of vintage motorcycling. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will take place on July 20-22, 2012, at the world-class Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Here's a thought.  If anyone goes down and has to ship things back you may want to ship to a postal outlet in Sumas Wa. called "Ship Happens". They will receive and hold items until you can pick them up for 5$ a package. You could then have one of your buddies go across the border and pick them up for you, or you can do it yourself. You Will save a bundle in shipping charges compared to having it sent here. I have been doing this for years now and it works good for me.  Aside from the 5$ you will still have to pay the 14% at the border. All they want there is some sort of receipt to verify how much you paid. I would think an imaginative mind would have no problems with that, since you usually don't get receipts at a swap meet.
