Guy can do it. Or has done it.
I live with fear and danger everyday, but sometimes I leave her at home and go motorcycling.

If you could pass my number to him that would be great. 250-596-8955 (Daniel). I did order a couple from new life cycle but not sure they will work or not either but they should. No one is manufacturing these cables fo rmy bike no more. H*&$%y will do it but their prices are a lil nuts.

I can do this also, and would be pleased to assist.  I learned this from Guy and a magazine article.  I purchased a couple of kits from Flander's which has a whole variety of little bits needed for the job.

On the Ebay Bobber, I did not like that all of the NOS cables I bought had to be adjusted almost to their maximum (longest) to work.  Since cables only stretch, I wanted to start with my cables adjusted to their minimum (shortest) adjustment.  I therefore had to shorten my front brake, clutch and throttle cables.

The job is a bit messy (soldering flux ), and before the soldered cable end is ground down, looks like hell, but the end result is a strong and functional cable any length you want.

Yup, its that easy.

Mine have never looked so clean.   I tend to put more cable through the end bit and then make a HUGE wad a solder and twisted cable end.  Then out comes the angle grinder to restore it to its proper shape and size.

Solder actually gets pretty hard after its been melted a few times.  I wonder what Jeff knows about that.
