Sidecar Connection

Is it normal/standard to have a sidecar connection (damper) to the front wheel.
This is apparently a Hannigan sidecar for sale in the US, attached to a K100. Price 3800 US or best offer. Sidecar in central Florida.

I have driven sidecars all over england in the 60's and 70's, never seen that arrangement. My guess is either an alignment problem they cant cure, or a severe head shake. I have seen small cylinders attached front fork to frame but that is for high speed stability on sport bikes.

Hi Shep the old English bikes had dampers through the head stocks and you must ride the rig like a car when it comes to stearing ,the rig looks good . ;D

The velorex I had came with a shock absorber that was meant to be mounted somewhere on the front fork. I never did install it so I'm not sure where it went looks a bit odd being on the bottom of the slider though
