Willie G Skull hub cap

I always hated the look of the big Pair Valve cover (emissions) on my Intruder and have seen others paint ot dress up to look more appealing. I was at the anual HD garage sale the other day and found a Willie G skull hub cap that didnt say HD and i thought it looked the same size as the dish portion of the valve cover and might make an interesting accent. Anyway they said I could return if didnt work so I bought it, aquired a few stainless hex heads on the way home,  drilled a few holes and it looks alright. As i said to Russ last night its still ugly but ugly with some style now!!

I went to the garage sale at the Harley dealer today - I bought another $25 set of low rise (3") medium-pullback stainless 1" bars for needs not yet identified, a solid-mount Sportster K+N air filter (which I am not really a fan of, but the stock paper filters cost more) and a couple of pairs of footpegs from some model I would not even guess at - not a Buell, I don't think, at any rate.  They have lots of instruments, and brake/clutch levers, and some brake pedals, which would be of interest pretty much exclusively to Harley owners - if even to them.  They have a couple of nice headlight housings, and an assortment (no sets) of mirrors and turn signals.  Lots of unloved late model stock airbox parts and stock grips.  The collection is correctly displayed as 'take-offs', which is mostly what it is;  wish it had been older stuff.  They are apparently moving to a nearby smaller building, and are reducing needless inventory.

Thanks to Rob for telling me about the sale - I haven't stopped by the dealer since Nathan Wium switched from Harley parts man to car salesman.
