So, Kaziff, Kawmeister, Ambrose Knobel (onetime PGVMC member before moving to the island) and I attended the Mt Vernon motorcycle swapmeet last weekend, and one of the bikes at the accompanying show was this extremely rare - I think obscure would be fair in this case - Anglo-engined Italian Galimberti 350cc hack unit. This company was only making motorcycles for a couple of years just before WW2, and never started again after the war, so, of course, the total production numbers are low, probably in the double digits.  I thought the sidecar was so beautiful I had to have Ambrose send me his pics of it and I thought I would post them here for those who might be interested.

Wow.  That is gorgeous.  I agree that the sidecar is particularly stunning.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Wow - what was the engine. It looks like an old sloper with dual exhaust valves. Maybe a JAP??

WOW! Love how the lines of the sidehack fender matches the body. The paint  is a perfect match and the bike is damn nice too. Looks the same as a panther engine. CHEERS.

Good eye on the admin - yes, a dual port JAP single provides the power.  The bike was designed ground-up as a tug, and the owner said it was perhaps a bit shaky as a solo unit.  Here is the owner - all checked-out and euro-correct;  he turns out to be Swiss, like Ambrose, and lives on the Island, like Ambrose, though he's a natty 350cc-sized package, unlike Ambrose, whose more like an open-class size type.
