rode 2 bikes, the Night Rod and the XR 1200 R. The V-Rod was as expected a very smooth fun ride. Hate forward controls but outside of that I give it a B+. Clearly the best in a fleet of tractors. Jeff rode the XR last year and liked it Thought I would too. Dead wrong. If you changed the bars, seat, pegs and foot controls-plus more power this could be a decent bike. What it is - a torture device! In the brief time in the saddle on this ride (out to Beaverly Day and Night and back) my arms pumped up, could not find a comfortable spot in the saddle, my hands went numb as did my feet making the short tucked in foot levers difficult to find and operate. Could not wait to get off this bike. Was all worth it to see Jeff ride out on a Sportster. Wish I had my camera. Now that's funny!Cheers.
