I am pretty sure all of us have seen the ads; Forking by Franks. The only information on their web page is to call.
I've always thought I did not want to waste their time by making an inquiry without being dead set on a purchase, so I've never bothered calling...until today.
I phoned, said where I was calling from and that I was interested in 8"extended fork tubes for an XS1100. With virtually no hesitation "Marie" (who took the call) said $264 for the pair and $46 shipping to Canada by express mail. She suggested that the better thing to do was to do my stretching and raking before I order the tubes in case I end up needing shorter or longer than 8" extensions. The price goes up $5.00 for each 2".
They've been in business for over 40 years so I guess they have heard every question imaginable. She reminded me to make sure I have the year right because there were two different types used on XS1100s. Gotta love vendors who know their products.
Now I want to have a look at that old set of forks I have for an early XS650.
