Flew to Victoria Saturday morning where the previous owner of my 1993 Mazda MX-5 LE Miata picked me up, 2,250 dollars changed hands and we went to the nearest insurance place and took care of the necessary paperwork. Turns out the ferry is a mere 10 minutes away. Under size car and 1 passenger set me back 71 bucks for the 11 a.m. sailing. Another hour and a half with wrong turns to my in-laws in Langley where I spent the night. Left a little after 8 this morning and was in Hope by 9 where I had eggs benny at Rolly's. Sun came out, put the top down and into the canyon where this little car really shines! Without incriminating myself let's say Mimi and I made a "spirited" run in good time with beautiful sun and the car's greatest hits blasting through the headrest speakers. Sorry to to say the mighty fraser was a mighty trickle. In Clinton there was a gas and lunch stop at the old school biker bar and grill with nothing but pee breaks after. Had to put the top up in Quesnel and did not envy the soggy souls I encountered on motorcycles. I absolutely love this thing and even with 350,000 on the clock it is tight and smooth. Best day behind the wheel ever! Oh and I only spent 80 bucks on gas for the whole trip, even at a brisk pace. CHEERS!!!
