That was fun, and straight up embarrassing.
I appreciate the tools Mike, the only thing worse than forgetting to reattach my rear brakes and snapping the linkage on the way to the ride...was realizing that I was without my tools for the first time in 2 months....dang it.

Kristen (girl on the cm400 bobber) had a great time and appreciated the bike talk, my hope is that she keeps coming on her own. Pretty sure my other friend Quin (cafe that didn't break down) is researching side cars at this moment. I meant to hit up the cowboy after but turns out I had some work to do on my cafe.

I am surprised that Mike hasn't put the pics of me patching my bike together yet.
I got my brake situation figured out last night and even discovered a few other things. My tire was rubbing bad on the rear brake stay arm and I couldn't figure out why as I had just adjusted it so it wouldn't but from what I figure the stay arm got bent when the whole hub moved when I broke the linkage. I did some bending and welding and got the linkage back together and learned a few things on adjusting rear brakes and now have more stopping power than ever. The only part I really broke beyond repair was the arm that goes from the linkage to the piece that actually turns the brakes.

After some tweaking last night I got that wide tire in there Paul with no rubbing and about a 1/2 centimeter on either side...hooray! I am still going to take your suggestion and buy a different profile for my next rear tire purchase though.

I was busy....downloaded my pics tonite.  Just after noticing that after putting the cams into my maxim X that the exhaust cam is one tooth out, dang.  I quit for now.  It is a trick getting them to go into place and I will do it fresh tomorrow.  Whatdya think guys, one tooth out is close enough?  Getting amped about having the X at full power again.  Just so you don't feel too bad Dave I have more than one picture of haywire setups.   This was Brad's bike last week.....We all have heard of the people of Walmart, well I just had to throw this in.....exhaust stacks on hood, etc.  Of course if you want to photograph people at walmart you have to be there yourself hey?

  Have actually seen that car around a lot. Owner actually thinks it's cool! Surprised it wasn't in front of Canadian Tire, home of the tacky bolt (or stik) on accessories. CHEERS.

Are you saying that  the poor soul in the middle picture is actually an employee of Wal mart when he isn't a biker???
