Bob Lundblom memorial ride/camp out
« on: March 11, 2012, 11:15:35 AM »
Met with Jim Lundblom yesterday to get a sense of what scheduling or planning we should undertake to ensure the ride/campout meets with their expectations. Jim is working lots of hours right now but sees this slowing down soon and plans to attend either the April or May meeting to put together dates that are suitable for all.
He says the family is very receptive to the campout and most will be taking part.
There is plenty of camping area and an outdoor biffy so if we have fair weather we should not need to invade the family cabin to a great extent although in true Lundblom fashion, Jim says if worse comes to worse we can find sleeping arrangements for all!
I look forward to Jim's attendance to finalize the details, i let him know that the club would be supplying the bulk of the groceries.

My boss just moved to 150 mile. driving a 5-ton that only hits the speed limit on steep hills I read a lot of signs. I noticed there are actually 3 turn-offs for Likely. Having never been there just wondering how far it is???

Likely is located 150 km (94 miles) north-east of 150 Mile House and approximately 42 km (26 miles) north of Horsefly.

Two Routes
The two main routes into Likely are; taking the junction at 150 Mile House which is only 14 km (9 miles) south of Williams Lake, or by travelling the backcountry Beaver Lake Road from McLeese Lake which is north of Williams Lake by only 50 km (31 miles).

Don't know if my body can handle waking up in a tent hungover  2 nites in a row. Thinking about maybe riding up Sat. morn. Anybody else?
