1) Take the battery back to interstate and have them do a deep cycle test on it, if its only a week old I cant see a motorcycle system screwing it up.
2) Check your charging voltage going to the battery any more than 14.5 volts(with the battery connected) i would look at the charging system.

Hi Kris, I have another body for XJ750 I bought off a guy in Ontario. The fairing is in way better shape, but it will need painting. My present tank will need painting, the fairing, side panels, tail fairing and the belly fairing. The belly fairing has a broken end and Iím wondering if it can be repaired. Iím thinking of black cherry with a gunmetal silver to kind of modernize the look. Iíll go from there and figure out striping and decals. Any thoughts on if youíd be interested in that kind of job?

I recently joined the forum after running into a bunch of you at A&W about a month ago. It was great to see so many older bikes together and I was amazed at how many of them I recognized LOL.
I have an 1984 Yamaha Seca 750RL, also known as the 750S in Europe. I spent some time riding when I was young but I haven't been on a bike in about 34 years until this year. I remember deciding to buy a Celica instead of an Interceptor 750 after blasting along 16th Avenue North in Calgary with the front wheel in the air. A week earlier a friend put his GS1100 through a chain link fence. I chose wisely I think, I'm still here to talk about it and I can enjoy the riding without the hormones now.
That said, I have an extra body for my bike and I want to repaint it. Who's the man doing decent and affordable painting in PG?

If he's like me it'll be the beginning of a life of fascination with things that make noise, go fast and look cool! Cheers man!

what would cause a brand new interstate battery to stop holding a charge in a week? im assuming my bike fried it somehow. it was dead this morning and its been on the charger for 5 hours and still only cranks over for a couple of seconds

Engine / turbo
« Last post by KrisCarr on October 02, 2018, 08:41:14 AM »
does anyone have insight into turboing a carburated engine? Im playing with some ideas in my head involving a venturi system to add extra fuel under boost. Never tried to turbo something that wasnt fuel ingected but would like to keep the system as simple as possible. If the idea isnt feasible ill scrap it
