Have forwarded the application paperwork for the Pine Center Motorcycle awawreness show and shine to Dennis, appears we are in section 9 with room for about 10 bikes. The Show and Shine has been scheduled for April 27/28 Friday /Saturday which is the same weekend Mount Vernon and Tswassen swap meets occur.
There are a few club members who will not be able to attend as plans have already been made to be south.
Anyone up for a breakfast meeting this Sunday to plan who can /will attend before we submit our show and Shine entry application?

Name time and place!

is there a breakfast?

I'd have to say, I think some slight additional notice, and a firm booking, would pay big dividends, attendance-wise. See, the problem is kaziff gets up in the 'morning' (while the monsters are still out) or about the time I go to bed; like 4 in the morning or something, and he thinks that posting a notice up here at 6:47 am for a 9 am breakfast is all the advance notice any human should need. I will also guess, having made the suggestion, he will probably be there.

Yep, let's hit Gramas inn on central at 9:30. Kaziff

I will table this as new business at our March meeting.
Last year we were saved by Bulldog bringing down a bunch of bikes. Otherwise our appearance may have been minimal. I would rather a no show than a poor show personally. I am thinking that if we know for sure we would have at least 6 bikes, we should do this. If not ...
Peace & grease, Dennis

If it isn't an issue with anyone I have available an '82 FXR , '76 GL1000 , couple of '86 FJ1200's and a '77 XT500 That I would be glad to help out with. Could be more than one as well.

Love to see the 77 XT500.
Those bikes are pretty cool and almost cultish. Last year at O'Keefe's a group of young guys from the lower mainland all road in late on Saturday night having back roaded up to Vernon. Virtually the whole group was on XT500s. They were gritty and no one had high tech panniers or riding gear, just what ever they could cobble together. Almost Mad Maxish.

If we need or want it - I will make my 1978 CB750 Super Sport available for the the show.

My general sense is that we may indeed want and need it. Having seen the pictures, we know it's a looker, it's nicely aged, being from the '70's, and many of the regular bikes we might show won't be available this year. We'll have to get a sense of the numbers at the next meeting maybe: see if we are making Dennis' minimum. We had a nice display last year, a dozen or so, but we were the big presence in an otherwise poorly-attended Awareness show. If we pass this year, I'm sure the Gold Wing club will fill any awkward gaps in the floorspace; they'll be back in droves.

If you run short the Club is always welcome to come and raid my garage. There's a few in the front line that might catch the eye. As long as you don't mind getting them in my absence (I'll warn the dog handlers) then I'm OK with it.
Let me know if and how many you'd like.
