....Or lack there of. Seems to be a popular trend, not one I particularly like. Imagine an Indian Chief without those beautiful distinct valanced fenders. Removing the front fender and hacking off the rear is not customizing, it's butchering. Modifying or fabricating fenders that flow with the style of the bike is. Besides keeping the rain and debris off your face the front fender also acts as a fork brace. Now ya got mud on your face and a wobbly front end. It' not just the chopper/bobber guys any more either. See lots of cafe bikes this way now too. To me it shows a lack of imagination and/or skill. Just my opinion. Also guys who build with no front brake are stupid for obvious reasons.

I love the no fender look (no front fender anyways). I have ridden several bikes fenderless. Stripping down a motorcycle is like taking baggy clothes off a hot chick; it only gets better the more you strip. A small amount of tasteful bits are like lingerie.

...and I am exactly on the fence - being fond of fenders in broad terms, and yet having entirely deleted the front fender on the bobber, and having the abbreviated rear, I am anticipating getting pelted with stuff I wouldn't normally be subject to. And I probably would have been amenable to a no-brake spool on the front of the bobber - except I am assured that the brake that I am running is very nearly as useless as not having a brake at all, so I figured I had the devil-may-care attitude essential to the endeavour covered.

Handy little leather pouch down on the frame, guess that's to catch all the internals when they come out? how did the carb get pointed that way? Kaziff

Saw that Bike at Twassen...Stwassen...ER ,,,STWASSEN ..stawassen...---Vancouver swap meet last summer...Dual carbs ...both intakes are curved over that direction....gonna see if Rusty can make me some of those.... ;D

Actually a cool Beezer. Close look at the front fork leads me to believe it is also rigid. looks like the bottoms are painted to create the illusion of suspension. Skinniest lower legs I ever saw.

Yeah, I hadn't noticed that, but you're right...not much room for bushings and circlips there. On the other hand, it actually does look like some sort of sliding/contact wear on the far leg? Weird.

I rode a rigid front last year except I hadn't planned it that way. The wrong axel (too wide) resulted in my having the use extreme force to get the lower sliders on to the axel. The result was that the sliders didn't slide. I didn't notice for most of the summer.
